Guest Post Guidelines

1. We do accept quality guest posts, but do not accept payment for guest posts or links.

2. Pitch us travel photography or photography related articles that are well written, informative and entertaining. We like witty writers! If you are a travel writer include the photography aspects of your travel, even if you are not an expert. It does not have to be central to your story. Compelling travel writing will do the job, especially if it’s to one of our current photo tour destination countries, or China.

3. Send us links to at least two other guest posts/articles you have written as well as your website so we can see your work.

4. 1,000 word minimum in MS Word. No maximum. Original content. Must pass both AI and Duplicate Content checks.

5. Three suitable, quality photos minimum.  You must have the right to use each, whether it’s your own, public domain, or other. Let us know for each image, with links.

6. Your external links must be to least ‘reasonably high’ authority domains. If you are a photographer or traveler submitting a post to link back to your website, we understand if your site is not yet high authority.  Nevertheless, the content on your site should be of good quality.

7. Make sure your anchor text is directly related the content it links to.

8. By publishing on the Irreverent Photog Blog, we own the article, and you agree to not publish the article elsewhere. That would weaken us both in the bot-eyes of Google.

9. We edit submissions as needed to suit our readers, including photos. We may ask you to make changes and re-submit, or we may reject the submission. We love nothing more than to receive articles that need no editing at all!

10. We look forward to hearing from you. Here’s our Contact page.
